Think about this...
Some will say, "The Name has just been translated into English as LORD, as has similarly been done in other languages." This is just not true! Take an Italian name like Guiseppe Verdi for example. It corresponds to Joseph Green in English; however, proper names of individuals are not translated; they are always transliterated or transcribed in order to retain the sound of its original pronunciation.
If Guiseppe Verdi was visiting an English speaking country, would they call him Joseph Green? Absolutely not! Even if Guiseppe decided to become an American citizen, his name would not be translated, it would be transliterated!
You don't translate names, you transliterate them!
